İrem advises local and international clients on regulatory compliance, data protection and privacy matters, with a particular focus on highly regulated and data-intensive industries. She has experience working with clients across the life sciences and healthcare, financial services, telecommunications, technology, automotive, and e-commerce sectors.

Her practice focuses on data protection, privacy, and data governance. She advises clients on compliance with the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including international data transfers, data protection impact assessments, privacy governance, and the design and implementation of compliance programs. She also advises on data governance and information security compliance and is qualified as an ISO/IEC 27001 and 27701 Lead Auditor.

İrem’s practice also covers sector-specific regulatory matters, including health data and clinical trials, financial services, and medical device regulations under the EU Medical Device Regulation (MDR 2017/745). She further advises clients on e-commerce, consumer protection, and digital platform regulations.
